Feature request to restore the original_format field in the track object response

API track object changes prevent filtering by source file type

We have been using the original_format field to do some filtering for user tracks and dropping that field has broken our integration. Would it be possible to restore that field?

Hey @davidenglishmusic , could you provide us with more details about what you were using the field for? Why do you filter by the original format? If we understand the use case we can either document a reason to keep it or find a better solution.

Thanks @anikarni we offer several options for our members to upload tracks including importing music from their SoundCloud account. Internally we only support flac, wav, and mp3, though, so in showing them a list of available tracks for import from SoundCloud, we filter out tracks that do not meet that criteria.

Hey @davidenglishmusic at the moment we cannot support this. But we'll keep this open in case there's more interest for this from more folks in the future.
