Following the description here

We can specify the log-files w/ the --output=.... flag.

We should do that and go back to a sub-directory for the logfiles (and update the instructions)
I suggest
.../scratch/logs_smalldata/-.log
.../scratch/logs_smalldata/Cube<...>_-.log (or so...)
