App shortcuts are a feature in Android that enable users to perform quick tasks without opening the app from the launcher. Each task within the app can be configured to add to a dynamic shortcut, which the users can access by long-clicking the app's icon or dragging it to the home-screen (pinned shortcuts).
Currently, the user needs at least 3 clicks to open a new task, which itself dilutes the definition of a 'task' being quick and easy to access. With app-shortcuts, a task can be opened in a single click.
