Hi again Chris,

I'm super exited that i found an Docker Guru like your self.

I'm looking forward to the videos and i will definitely pay for it.

I read about Rancher and this got me going for sure. Please tell me you will cover setting up Rancher locally for development, that would be super great.

Hi Peter!

I will be covering Rancher, but in a production setting.

I actually haven't heard of using Rancher for development, but thinking
about it more, that could make sense to try out. I'd be curious to test out
if there are any issues that arise from using it on a Mac or Windows
(versus directly on a Linux host, where there's no layer of virtualization
makes things more complicated).

What I will be covering will be the under pinnings of Docker so that you
hopefully won't need rancher in development unless you want it (in other
words, you'll hopefully know enough to make that determination yourself
and won't need it to do things you don't understand!)

Since this is really starting to be a large course (i'm up to almost 40
videos just getting passed intro/development and into continuous
integration), I think I'm going to cover production with Swarmkit first,
and then later I'll add modules for Rancher and hopefully Kubernetes.

However I would like to get Rancher out really quickly (if not at launch)
if I can!

Great,

Unfortunately i seems that Rancher don't support Docker Native Mac/Win and to use it locally for dev one would have to use an VM. This is a bit disappointing since iv'e just left the Vagrant/VM set up.

Anyway this is one tutorial i found maybe that could get your magic on the road: https://www.smartfile.com/blog/docker-rancher-dev-environment/

Without looking so deep into Rancher my feeling was that Rancher could act as an "control panel" for all your sites but maybe i got it all wrong?
