Current implementation of hardware on nodes is hard-coded and sometimes hard to understand. Additionally, most elements have no unified structure. The structure of hardware elements, nodes, and some related protocols should be changed to facilitate ease of use.

  • Standardize hardware "get" interfaces
  • Add "get" methods to nodes, move components to dictionary
  • Modify entanglement generation, resource management, and QKD protocols for new setup

Examples still need work but are not priority right now
