Authentication through GitHub, Meetup, or Twitter might be nice to prevent users needing to create a new user / password combination.

I vote for meetup first. Not everyone loves twitter as much as I do, and beginners might not yet have a github.

Seems like something we can get with django-allauth pretty easily.

Right now, there's nothing for authenticated users to do that aren't admins. When there's some features for authenticated users, I think we can reactivate this. I'm closing it for now.
