right-bearing: -1

In some proportional fonts (MAC) I see -ve bearing
e.g. Palantino_14

my understanding is the left bearing adds space before the character and right bearing after
if the left bearing is -ve (as in a j) it means move back so the descender goes under the previous character

but if i have -2 right bearing then the next character will be on top of the previous ?!??

Also i see kerning, but am not sure what units -111.48 is in. I Guess un listed characters get a kern of 0

I see it is fixed in the latest version

only / has a -ve right and that makes more sense
