Operating System Support

Ryan Guy edited this page Dec 3, 2018 · 8 revisions

This document will detail the current status of operating system support for the FLIP Fluids addon.

Windows

The Windows operating systems are officially supported.

Mac

As of version 1.0.2, support for Mac OS X is experimental. This means that the addon has not yet undergone extensive testing on OS X systems.

If you plan to purchase the addon for use on Mac systems, we highly recommend testing for compatibility by trying out the FLIP Fluids Demo.

Known Issues

  • Some Mac users have reported issues with the simulator occasionally halting in the middle of simulation calculations on random frames. The simulation may still be resumed by restarting Blender and continuing the baking process. This issue is also present on Linux.

Linux
