Presence and Aura room is too massive. Many things need to be rescaled. #65

the rooms feel way to big / upscaled. Onboarding and Rotunda feel fine, although the rotunda still feels a bit barren. But the Presence and Aura room feels like "wow, they took the original room and doubled it in size". The portals are way too big; all the videos and images are so big and high on the walls that they are very unpleasant when viewed at the suggested (standing on pads) distance. It's almost impossible to watch the zuckerberg video for example.

The videos need to be at a "comfortable viewing height". Given that the space feels so oversized, I'm wondering if we should consider scaling everything back down some, or even a lot?

Otherwise, individual things need to be changed:

  • make the portals "human scale"
  • make videos and anything else the user wants to "look at" be at a height and size that they are comfortable to look at. This could mean, as we chatted about, putting an image and text for the video relatively large, but having the video be down at viewing height and a more reasonable size based on where the pad is.
  • probably adjusting some other things.

The problem with everything being huge is that it makes if feel like there's some sort of scale problem. The room doesn't feel big, I feel small. If key things (portals, signage, videos) where at human scale, that would flip, I think, and the room would feel huge again (with my as a person feeling like I was a reasonable size).
