The semantics for the connection/following system are very confusing.
When a connection is made there is an "owner" and a "following". It's specifically the "following" that is confusing me so I would like to rename that.
The "owner" is the user who clicks a button and starts following someone. So, the "following" user is actually the one being followed. For this reason, I think renaming "following" to "followed" would be less confusing.
It may also be beneficial to rename "owner" to "follower" as well. Then the user who is following is called "follower" and the user being followed is called "followed".
For now I am going to keep this issue open, as I brain storm other options to streamline this feature.
