Why can't we record performances?

It's not possible to sample whatever you do in performance mode. That's a baffling omission. Sampling from line in while triggering external gear via midi isn't possible either. Which I found surprising as well.

Are you saying this doesn't work? Or are you referring to not being able to continue playing the sequence while also sampling external (MIDI-triggered) audio?

Recording performances would certainly be welcome. As would being able to create new Patterns from the performance mode settings.
