At this moment one can only choose one effect or "random FX" on fill.

While in FIll, "Home/Insert" button could be used to highlight the FXs that we want to FILL with.

e.g.
i could scroll to roll, select it with the HOME button, it would highlight that FX
also, instead of the FX value bar, it could show the actual values as names in a list as well, so they could also be highlighted with the HOME button, keeping multiple ones highlighted.

this would allow us to, e.g..

  • select steps in "where"
  • highlight slice , and pick a few slices (highlighting them in a list using HOME)
  • then ALSO select roll, and pick a few roll types selecting them
  • then these might appear in a list over "cancel" and "fill" since there is room, showing what you are about to do with FILL
(also, all the FILL window could be enlarged to incorporate this information since it currently only occupies half the screen)
  • then we click FILL and this would be applied at once.

Finally, with this in mind, one could save "fill presets" with different settings in order to make fill even more usable.
I could create a "fill preset" for "creating 2, v2 and n2 rolls in 50% of the currently selected notes (see my previous suggestion with boolean operators)"

one could have different fill presets for different tasks. this could also appear as a list, maybe saved in a directory to be shared between projects (and users) as a "fill preset template" file.

I would be delighted to beta test all the changes i am proposing, in case you would like to discuss its implementation and user interface. I have plenty more ideas to improve this already great piece of gear!

Cheers from Portugal!

Nuno

Hi, we're excited to hear your idea!

Before you start, did you check whether your feature was already requested?
Searching might save you quite a bit of time here.

A new feature

Please tell us about your feature in as much detail as you can provide.
Vague ideas are less likely to be successful. Concrete requests are
easier to estimate.
