Whole name is shown instead of Initials if they begins with non-A-Z-characters

We have a journal where an article was published with an author named Øyvind with a norwegian letter in the beginning of the given name. When using this citation style plugin the initial Ø. is not shown in the citation, as it should but the whole name is instead shown, see: https://njvet.ep.liu.se/article/view/5108
