Wind speed sensor stops working #24

I have an issue with the wind sensor. When I reboot the pi all works fine, and the wind_speed is visible on the lcd screen. After a while (1 - 1/2 hour) it only shows 0.00 m/s even though there is a lot of wind. Is this a known problem or is it a hardware failure? How can I check it?
