Error when adding talk to a collection

Hello

I'm logged in as with contributor status - but not using my admin account

I've gone here:

and attempted to add this to a collection. It looks as if the jquery is throwing an error as a small pop-up with 'server error' appears underneath the dropdown. I can't add the item to any of the collections on the list. Also get the usual error when trying to view the collections.
