Agreed, to render long names full length makes no sense. Especially messy with a folder of images. Ideally, a truncated name takes a maximum of the first 25-30 letters, followed by an ellipsis and the name extension. |

Hi. MacOS has very pleasant option in Finder - wrapping long filenames. It shows beginning filename then ... and the end of filename + extension. Sometimes I miss it if I see list of long filenames with difference in the end (indexes for ex.)

It would be cool to have this feauture in Nemo, btw I didn't find any Linux filemanager with this feauture.
