Agenda/Minutes

• As of August 15, 2022, 119 out of 143 scenarios are successful.

• Discussion regarding the scenario simulator v2 has been going on here.

• 36 scenario cases were added by LeoDrive. Some of them my require modification on CI/CD pipeline. (To be discussed next week.)

• Scenario issues

  • [UC-PB-005-0001]: Though no changes were made to the scenario, all cases filed this week. EGO does not start even after the cross traffic is gone. -> @Igata-ctrl to recreated these scenarios on a wider alley in Hsinchu map.

• Failures which may be associated with Autoware universe

  • [UC-PB-007-0001-3](Distance to NPC=20m case): EGO does not start and fails by the failure condition of "stationary for 5 seconds".
  • [UC-PB-008-0001_20_40](Vl=Vm=50kph case): EGO does not stop even though NPC oncoming traffic is approaching.
  • [UC-PB-008] and [UC-PB-009] scenarios : As it seemed that EGO detects the pedestrian who already finished crossing the crosswalk and stops against it in the intersection, the scenarios were modified using the custom command of "WalkStraightAction" which allows the pedestrian to walk on and leave from the crosswalk area. One caveat for this custom command is that it causes a semantic error if you set the destination of the pedestrian. It only makes the pedestrian walk to the needle's direction.

• Discussion on LeoDrive's additional use cases.

  • As for the "deceleration before crosswalk and speed bump" use cases, adding a new tag to lanelet2 is preferred over setting specific speed limit to the map in that:
    • Map vendor does not need to understand the rationale behind the unusual speed limit and handle it.
    • Can make it available only for who needs the functionality/setting.
  • LeoDrive plans to issue MR and also upload to the shared folder for the Map data and the scenarios.

• [CI/CD Pipeline User Guide] is in the Google Drive.

• Scenario Editor User Guide (in CI/CD pipeline) has been stored in ODD WG Google Drive. )[updated]

• [Scenario Simulator v2 User Guide] is in the Github repository. While all the information including the installation of the scenario_simulator_v2 and Autoware universe is here. One caveat is that "run with docker" is NOT officially supported at the moment.

• [Updated] The working group members who are interested in creating and testing scenarios on the CI/CD pipeline are advised to create a free Tier IV account here. Once you have created an account, please let @Igata-ctrl know the (long) User ID which appears on your login page. After @Igata-ctrl register you to the AWF group in the CI/CD pipeline, You can go to AWF Autoware Evaluator page in the CI/CD pipeline.
  If you already have a TIER IV account, your 4-digit User ID continues to work, so you do not need to register to TIER IV account again.
