Preserving Text Tables in Fixed-Width Font

The Evernote web client can preserve fixed width formatting (such as that produced by Stata)

Is kept in the original columns intended.
Even when using a fixed width font in Everpad, I cannot get tables preserved. This would be a big help if there were a way to preserve this text formatting.
