Learn how to recover data
Why it works
How it works
Why it does not work 100% of the time

Know:

Tools available
Data recovery is possible because files are not deleted
Data recovery works using file signatures
Improved methods like bifragment gap carving exist, but still has limitations

Believe: Data recovery is easy
Do: Cope well and recover data when files are lost
