Adobe Digital Edition downloaded Pdf not converting - but error log shows successful

I have downloaded an PDF that is supposed to be locked by Adobe Digital Editions.
During import into Calibre no error is being mentioned and the book is imported into the library.
However the PDF is not decrypted and can not be opened.

Any help is appretiated. Thx

Maybe an issue with that pdf. Have you tried opening it with an actual pdf reader?

Yes I did try that to no avail. I suppose this error is being thrown by the decrypting. Every pdf reader I tried so far refused to open the file as if it is still encrypted.
