deal with long values

I have a long values for options (deep file path). In the popup I cannot see the currently selected option (when "showInStatusBar": false). Workaround is to use hint on taskbar but I dont like to touch mouse when I coding. Another issue is that hint shows all properties (2+) in one line. Not very useful when properties have long values.
