Currently nrnivmodl (generated from bin/nrnivmodl.in and bin/nrnivmodl_makefile_cmake.in is quite complicated and is difference from nrnivmodl_core from CoreNEURON. it would be useful to revisit both those utilities, update them and maybe merge them into one simple utility that can handle both NEURON and coreneuron cases.
