I have looked at the NeuroHub front page draft at https://neurohub.github.io/neurohub/ and think it may want some tweaking to better serve users with visual issues, particularly colour-blindness. At my suggestion, at the NeuroHub developer meeting on August 14th we looked at the current draft in monochrome to simulate this, and the contrast in brightness between the red of the "NEUROHUB" text and the blue of the background animation would be very little to users for whom those are not distinct colours.
Also, at the moment. testing in Firefox with the default background colour set to black and text to white, the first and third sections of text are picking up the background colour setting but not the text colour, which renders them almost unreadably low-contrast.

sorry for the late reply. I am still looking in to this at the moment. I will look for some alternatives for the front page that will retain the spirit of the design, but also address the issues of accessibility.
for the firefox issue, I cannot seem to reproduce the issue. It could be that the issue was fixed with the changes since August.
