This page describes the design principles of Open Constitution Network's Self Modulating community consensus protocol.

⌚ Self Modulating Motion

The Open Constitution network community establishes a governance equilibrium with a Self-modulating consensus protocol.

Self-modulating Consensus Motion is a community consensus protocol.

Self Modulating: When the community consensus on a motion is abruptly unclear, members with privilege motion protocol may apply Self Modulating protocol.

Open Governance decisions influence or continue to influence the Foundation's roadmap, direction and active steering.

For Self-modulating consensus, eligible conditions are that the members have exhausted all other motion protocols.

{% hint style="info" %} Self Modulating Motion Consensus is designed for open governance which is contextual to multi-constitutional bodies or multi-project or multi-program. (dynamic systems, services, tools, exchange and resources.)

{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %} All Core Working Committee members, different Open Council body members, Ambassador Council members, or the Chancellor of the Executive Council can apply Self Modulating Consensus motion.

Decisions are logged on the Open Constitution Governance System, with the Self-modulating Motion Protocol. {% endhint %}
