Currently, the editor runs in the browser, but it should also run on the server side inside MPS. This allows to reuse the other language aspects of MPS.
There is already a shadow models based prototype of such an editor with server side rendering (see https://github.com/modelix/modelix/tree/mps/2020.3/ui-client). Maybe some of the code can be reused. The notation language could be reused to generate the editor definition instead of writing it outside of MPS.
