Show vertical image

I have vertical images (data or interpretations of geology) that I would like to show in their proper context. I have tried creating a vertical GeoJSON polygon that the image should fill, and using the 'raster fill' option in the QGIS symbology layer. This doens't work; it just shows the polygon as black (the image is not black).

Is there another way to do this?

Hi, I have a similar request. I want to introduce a plane that I could move around and change it's angle. Did anyone play with this before?
