It would be real nice if this extension could be made open source.

  1. I don't like running closed source software, giving it access to secrets.
  2. It would be nice with more eyes on the code, to decrease the amount of bugs.

Hey @runephilosof thanks for your suggestion. Unfortunately, Live Share is not currently open source, however we have an extensive open source eco-system and like to be as open with your roadmap and issues as possible. You can always follow along on what our priorities are here: #2596
