cnf-sync tries to sync with mirror.hatcolorsoft.com but this url seems to be offline ... Is this a temporary issue or should the url be updated?

As commented in 2015 in the AUR [1], there will be the day that the mirror is not available anymore.

A cnf mirror can be created with cnf-populate based on an existing arch mirror. Unfortunately that requires a full mirror.
When the tool was created, that was the only viable way of implementing that. Nowadays with the the existence of the .files.tar.gz files (e.g. [2]) on mirrors, that work can be done locally during cnf-sync or if somebody wants to operate a mirror (I would vote for the first option). In addition it could be done for the mirrors and repositories that are locally enabled for the user.

Patches welcome and I am happy to help!
