I started independent project to rewrite IdentityFramework for MongoDB in order to support Async new MongoDB C# Driver. In several days post it here

You may want to look at the Aspnet.MongoDB.Identity project here on github, it uses the new driver and already has a fork that supports Identity v3 that isn't yet released.
