[Bug]: Modal methods are not functioning

I can see the instance of the modal, but method open is not working, no errors, nothing.
I can even call it via:

  var instance = M.Modal.getInstance(elem);
  instance.open()

but nothing happens.

But if i change the version to 2.0.4 or 2.1.1 it works fine.
It looks like it is an issue only with 2.2.1

• Version used: 2.0.4 and 2.2.1, and 2.1.1
• Browser Name and version: firefox 135.0b3-1
• Operating System and version (desktop or mobile): Linux 6.12.9-arch1-1

also, there is an issue with selects, I have default selected value, but in input, there is nothing, an empty string instead of value, on 2.0.4 all is fine
