Hi,
I think, the problem was the nVidia driver (official v545). I had to break the script, switch back to X.org nvidia driver, reboot with the original kernel, and run Mintupgrade again. After the successful upgrade I reinstalled the driver (v535 is the latest offered) and now works fine. Using Cinnamon, X11. Bonus: The Matrix chat is not installed. |

The actualisation works, not the problem. But when finished and i will reboot and all other boot will be very very long. HP DV7-1270ez (mbr no efi) |

Open the terminal, run dmesg and check it for startup errors, it can help a lot. |

i have tryed boot with another usb stick, that works on ormal mode. regards dmesg2.out |

Maybe it's some kind of filesystem problem. Try running chkdsk /f c: in Windows, then sudo ntfsfix -d /dev/sda2 in Mint. |

LOL, what wrong with Min22, 8 Minutes Bootup on Installed Pavillion DV7 with SSD Now i will be back to 21.3 no future, and i will not buy a new lt. |
Just reporting that I had a similar problem when I tried to update from 21.3 to 22 this evening - I was using the 545 nvidia driver, but during the upgrade, compiling the kernel would repeatedly fail (a message along the lines of "generic kernel ... is not configured yet" - sorry, I didn't keep a record of exactly what it said). I used Timeshift to roll back, switched to the 535 driver, and performed the upgrade again, and this time it worked. I'm using kernel 6.8.0-41. I can see that the 535 driver is the only one offered in the Mint Driver Manager, which may not be a coincidence...! |

Hi i have new installed 21-3 Chinamon with installed UVNC (X11).
Now i upgrade to 22.
System restart/newstart have over 2 Minutes to come up (each time).
After i will be install Google Chrom. That not works missing libglib2.0-0
I try to installit but not found.
I will go back to 21.3 and restore my Laptop.
