This sparked an idea that we add a few more questions to know the preferences and landscape of Linux users in Bangladesh.

We plan to continue this annually if we get good response.

We did not want to use Telegram Polls as we wanted people to participate in the survey not just in Telegram but from other platforms.

We did not want to use Google From as we want to respect the user's privacy, so we tried to find a few FOSS or privacy respecting alternative like Framapad.

Unfortunately, Framapad is closed, so we looked for Open Source Google Forms Alternatives in AlternativeTo

We tried Lime Survey but had to back off because of two issues:

• You can't edit the form after it is published
• Limit of 25 responses

We wanted to try Nextcloud Forms next. There are two ways to do it:

• Hosted Nextcloud instances with Forms apps installed, like Murena Workspace.
• Hosing our own Nextcloud instances with Forms apps installed. This needs a VPS.

The Forms app for Murena Workspace was in Beta, so we could so use this.

Lucky for us, @r00t3d0 gracefully agreed to donate a VPS for this. 🙏
