Skip bios and Save states options

Hey, I've been playing some Castlevania games lately and have the bios files in the system directory, everything works fine and I've been syncing my savestates and savegames between my PC and Android phone, but noticed that the skip bios option just doesn't work sometimes, I enable the option so I don't see it, save core options but it still shows the gameboy logo and stuff, I have to cycle the option to just not use the bios file, save overrides, then disable it (to use the bios again) and then it skips the bios correctly.. is just weird behavior and the only thing that is the same between my retroarch setups in my PC and Phone are those savestates and savedata, which curiously when I try to load them (savestates) it sometimes kicks me to the bios screen and restarts the game and I have to just use the savedata and make another savestate so it works again, I know, kinda confusing and I don't know if I did a good job explaining this but there it is.
