Hi, thanks for your marvelous core.
do you think the high score support is possible to implement for MVS games like FBNEO?
thanks again.
regards

High scores are saved in NVRAM typically, and this does work currently. Do you mean something else? Are there specific games where you have observed that it does not work?

Hi thanks for your quick answers. Im sorry but I'm not make some test before I open this request.
I have just install the core and just make a perfect set in.neo of the fullset that take me some time.
I thank the emu has to write an hiscore file using the plugin hiscore.dat to work like fbneo or mame.
Could you just confim me that the hiscore is recorded permanently even if I don't make a save of the game ?
thanks. If so, it's perfect and you could close this issue in order to not pollute.

Most games will save to NVRAM, but it seems there is a handful of Neo Geo games that do not -- this was new information for me, as I mostly work on console emulation. On real hardware, restarting the machine would lead to losing the high score data in these cases.

Using this hiscore.dat file is technically a hack to push the data into RAM in cases where the game does not save the score data to NVRAM. This is mostly something that affects non-Neo Geo hardware. I am open minded about adding this sort of hack as an option, so we'll leave this issue open.

In the vast majority of cases though, the NVRAM is where the score data is stored, and it does work properly in those cases:
