Thank you for the speedy reply @golimpio. I see combojack running in my activity monitor and my headphones are working but when I remove them I no longer have system audio through the speakers. The headphones work fine when I plug them back in. I also hear a loud POP when plugging and unplugging the audio jack. I will take a look through the open and closed issues relating to ComboJack again to see if this has already been discussed. |
I have some of the issues you are describing, unfortunately I won't be very helpful with this one since I haven't fixed it in my setup. |
I posted on the tonymac86 thread and InsaneCultist says he will post the updated Combojack the next time he uploads his EFI folder to the thread. Hope to be able to test it to see if it works with the 9550 like it does for their 9560. |
Thank you for this guide.
I was able to successfully get Monterey up and running in my 9550. I want to install combojack but the instructions do not seem applicable to Monterey as the S/L/E folder is locked and even disabling SIP in recovery mode cant get it unlocked.
I am not able touch the S/L/E folder.
The tutorial refers to features of previous versions of Mac OS which have have changed with Monterey.
Can anyone let me know what needs to be done to complete this install?
Thank you in advance
