Version 2.0.7 still included cli.py, so I guess we need to bring it back before the upcoming 2.1.0 release. I am curious what happened to the repository after 2.0.7? An accidental force-push?

Those patches will bring back the CLI and improve it to be more versatile.

The patches referenced above have been converged into the pre-release 3.0.0.dev0, which has been validated on a downstream project successfully. Therefore, I am closing this.
