Despite the latest release, ApacheDS does not make frequent updates, which can make it difficult to deal with future vulnerabilities.

To make it even more flexible, it is necessary to change the architecture, moving from an embedded LDAP to an external LDAP server and integrate with a robust library, such as SPRING LDAP.

Anticipated benefits of this transition include increased system security and performance, along with greater flexibility in maintenance and service upgrades.
