Waveform is invisible in Firefox (Android) if not on wifi

If I am on mobile Firefox (Android) and not on Wifi, creating a wavesurfer object results in the element taking up visible space, but not visible itself. If there is the interaction listener such as:

wavesurfer.on('interaction', () => {
  wavesurfer.play()
})

then the element becomes visible once clicked. This can be also confirmed on the examples on wavesurfer.xyz. I'm on Firefox version 125.3.0 and wavesurfer 7.7.14.
