Jellyfin Server Version

10.10.3

Roku Client Version

2.2.5

Bug Description

Roku Closed Captions settings clashing with Jellyfin Subtitle Settings.

If Roku CC is on, then in many cases both are coming up at the same time (Roku English CC and Jellyfin DVDSub English for example).

Jellyfin does not seem to be respecting Roku CC settings. If you turn off subtitles in Jellyfin, the Roku CC works until next show/movie, then Jellyfin Subtitles come back on again with Roku CC.

With most recent Jellyfin Roku update it seems to be worse now, and it's getting aggravating.

I understand having more options, by Jellyfin having it's own Subtitles menu, but I really wish it would just use the Roku CC menu for everything, so they both aren't fighting against each other all the time like they are currently.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Play Show (with Roku CC turned on).
  2. Roku CC and Jellyfin Subtitles both come on screen at same time overlapping.
  3. Turn off Subtitles in Jellyfin menu.
  4. Roku CC behaves as it should.
  5. Jellyfin goes to next episode, Jellyfin turns Subtitles back on automatically.
  6. Roku CC and Jellyfin Subtitles both come on screen at same time overlapping, again.
  7. (Go back to Step 3 and loop).

Expected Behavior

  1. Play Show (with Roku CC turned on).
  2. Roku CC behaves as normal.
  3. Jellyfin goes to next show.
  4. Roku CC behaves as normal.
