Benchmarks

In this section will be shown some benckmarks used for testing DMASON. For each of them will be provided a description and the reasons. Each test was running on a cluster with the following features:

HPC 8 DELL™ PowerEdge™ PowerEdge C6220:

• Processors: 2 x Intel(R) Xeon E5-2680, 8C, 2.7GHz, 20M Cache
  

• Memory: 256GB Memory for 2 CPUs, DDR3
  

• Hard Drive: 6 x 1TB
  

• Network: 2 x Intel Corporation I350 Gigabit, 2 x Intel Corporation 82599EB 10-Gigabit SFI/SFP+
  

The below fields describe a simulation configuration:

• AOI: Area of interest
• NumAgents: Number of agents to simulate
• Width: Simulation field width
• Heigth: Simulation field width
• Rows: Rows number used for simulation field partitioning
• Columns: Columns number used for simulation field partitioning

Strong scalability

This benchmark is useful for pushing the system to the extreme and measuring the its capability when it is used for a massive amount of work.
