May I ask what you had in mind here?

If I may, I might suggest looking into the way Obsidian and Quartz do backlinks?
In other words, by default on the right column, below the current page's table of contents.

Disclaimer: I am not a programmer, simply an interested user ^^

I was thinking of what Quartz does. For any given page, let the user see a list of places that link to that page.

Did you plan on making the placement configurable by the config (with a default placement of your choice)?

Just thought about it, but on a related-but-not-completely note.
What would you think about integrating the node graph?
Was it something you investigated or were interested in?

The node graph seems like overkill to me, it would need a lot of code compared to the rest of the project. It should be possible to add as a plugin if you're motivated to write it.

That's quite alright, and I agree it's a lot of work. I was simply curious to know your thoughts on this. 👌
