Describe the bug

The "Screenshots" section below clearly demonstrates the issue where markdown task items are rendered as list items without any indication that they were checked or unchecked. As a result, the rendered list items appear deceiving in meaning.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Create an issue with a task list (markdown list items with checkboxes)
  2. Check some items while leaving others unchecked
  3. Share the issue in Microsoft Teams in a channel where the GitHub App will unfurl the link into a new issue card
  4. Notice how both unchecked and checked tasks are rendered the same as simple bullets

Expected behavior

ALL items are still rendered in MS Teams, but with an indication of whether items were checked or unchecked.

Unchecked items are always rendered. It would also be deceiving to hide unchecked items from the display, since unchecked also has meaning.
