I want to address some document creep which - while very useful info - makes the document a lot more complicated for the non-DNS audience to implement.

I'd like to suggest moving section 6 out "CNAME Records for Domain Control Validation" - a separate document perhaps as it's really more next gen vendor stuff.

In "Metadata For Expiry" I'd like to keep just the simple Date-Time example in the document, but mention supporting RFC3339. My feeling is very few will do to that level of granularity.
