[Feature Request] Add more than 6 applications to quick menu #35
Comments
I need to think about the better way possible for this. |
Spacing between apps and font size would also matter with the more apps that are allowed :) |
I'm a bit confused. Does this launcher have an app grid? That's what you call the quick menu? |
I'd like to see the Todo list be able to be swapped out for a list of up to 10 apps. Maybe have an option in the settings to allow Todo list or app list and if app list is chosen then disable them 6 shortcuts in the quick menu. |
10 apps? Is that enough? I have like 50 apps I use regularly, divided into something like categories. How can that be done, then? Can we have multiple Quick Menus? |
It's ment to be minimal having 50 apps wouldn't fit on the screen. I guess making folders and only having them display then you click on the folder to see the apps inside in a list could work too but having a scrolling home screen is a silly idea imo so 50 on the home screen itself is too much. |
There is a variable for that in the repo, I changed that to 9 then built the apk and it works as expected |
Just an idea inspired by Nova Launcher: allowing to group several apps in a folder that takes only one slot on the quick menu. I.e. one could use a slot for all IM apps (if it is Whatsapp + Signal + XMPP, it already saves two slots). The way to set it up could simply be: setting the same slot for several apps results in grouping them under a folder. |

Feature description
Sometimes it can be a little short just 6 apps in the quick menu, having some ability to increase this number would be great, I can think of like a "folders" function where in the app drawer if I press twice as a favorite in the same place in two apps, both appear in the quick menu in the same place but it opens a submenu to let me choose one.
I can also think of an option in the settings to add "more than one line of favorite apps".
