Task list of modifications to CONUS404 panel app to improve performance

• Update DockerFile to point to HyTEST repo
• Update environment.yml
• CONSUS404 App: Apply persist() and load() where applicable to ensure data not needing to be loaded multiple times #434
• CONSUS404 App: Are app sessions being reused? #435
  Check to see if app is being served with --reuse-sessions --global-loading-spinner
  • check to see if layout or configuration is dependent on variable:
    • If yes: Implement session_key_func from here
    • If no: implement --reuse-sessions --global-loading-spinner.
• CONSUS404 App: Enable throttling for by setting configuration #436
  • This will keep components such as sliders from updating until the mouse click is released.
• CONSUS404 App: Data caching activity #437
  Check on data caching of app and figure out if there are some ways data can be cached. Considerations:
  • CONUS404 dataset is large and what dimensions/widgets would it make sense to cache along?
  • Disk caching or in memory caching?

  Check how the app is currently being scaled against methods listed here
  • Planning to try in this order:
    1. threading (automatic)
    2. multi-process server (check if cost of non-flexible, non-load balanced instance will be large)
