It would be great if R.E.D. would give more details on detected infinite-loops to allow debugging those issues.

Hi again, also a good idea. I added it to my to-do list.

A little quick fix for everyone with this problem look here:
It can help to limit the nesting depth (see advanced options) so that the infinite loops are broken up.
