Hardware watchdog for Rasp Pi4B

I've been trying to google a way to enable or at least check the status of home assistant OS hardware watchdog. The result is next to none, which is not a surprise, as Google has been next to useless for several years now and getting only worse when AI generated bs is everywhere.

I'm looking for a watchdog activated reset for Pi, because I'm suffering from random freezes occasionally. And yes, I'm using SSD, have adequate power etc. Like most of the guys who have tried to find a solution. From my small research during these 2 nights basically no-one knows what is causing them and that's it.

Now, there are mentions here and there about a native one, and an external service, which seems to be several years of age. So my humble questions are, because no-one seems to know the status of things either:

• Is there still a working hardware watchdog based reset process? How do I find and configure it?
