Is there any guide or tutorial about layout?

I checked the doc, and there is not a specific part discussing how to manage layout. The API documentation is not providing enough information about this, so I checked some showcases. In the examples, they use window, child_window, or dock space. So is there any complete guide about the layout?

I'd just like to second the question, as I have been working through the layout learning process as well, and it's been a jumble of web-searching, source hunting, API decoding, pointers from Discord and Reddit, and experimentation. If it doesn't exist, it seems like a practical layout guide, with cookbook type examples, might be a great resource for young and old alike. Maybe expanding the FAQ to include some layout questions?
