Intention with this would not be to just port the Cataclysm starting experience, not only because it would be incredibly time consuming and complex, but also because it wouldn't make sense in the context of WotLK. The intent would be to port over the work being done with the Open Azeroth project for these two areas specifically and creating a new starting zone for these two races so as to not "cheat" and dump them in another race's starting area. Posting this issue to garner opinions because I myself would be quite interested in working on it.

This is difficult, but you can try it as a novice area before level 10. After level 10, you can choose to go to the main city through the npc dialogue

But this also requires transplanting some quests and creatures to fill in

Intent with this (As of right now, obviously ideas aren't solidified) is to have the map available and package two SQL files to go with it; one for the zone, and one for the main city. I would like anyone interested to use the zone as a creative outlet, to create their own quests, creatures, characters, etc. and package those with the module as well, just to allow multiple options for anyone downloading the module.
