1. Updates on the workstreams for v0.9

There were a few comments/suggestions that we received from the use case documents we published. One on Provider type, another on a separate role and onboarding process for TSP (Technology Service Providers, especially in the case of Providers and patients/subscribers). It was decided to schedule a separate discussion to address these, next week.

The next step here is to prepare the v0.9-draft version of the HCX protocol document and share it with the larger community, beyond the working group members for feedback and suggestions. The draft document would be ready by the end of first week of September.

• ProductorService valuset workstream updates

The work is in progress in this workstream. A few terminologies and codesystems have been identified towards the recommendation for ProductOrService valueset. More work is needed here.

We have two more volunteers joining this workstream, and we may need more help from the community. If you would like to help standardize and provide a recommendation for ProductOrService valueset (which is used in encoding claim bills, among others), please reach out to us.

2. OPD/reimbursement workshop plan

We are planning for a workshop to help the integrators adopt HCX protocol, especially the OPD and reimbursement usecases coming up in v0.9, in late September or early October.
A calendly invite is created to find out the date preferences. Soon after that, we will finalize the dates, venue and agenda.

3. Ideas for enhancing the protocol - Crowdsourcing new ideas and enabling more use cases for the next HCX protocol release

It is time to start thinking about the next version of HCX protocol, especially to think about the direction the HCX protocol could take. We have been primarily focusing on the existing claim processes followed in the industry for the use cases of cashless claims, reimbursement and OPD claims. Now is the time to think of the future direction of the HCX protocol or the health insurance industry in general and identify the use cases that we could take up, and hep make them a reality via HCX.
From the workstream meetings held earlier and other internal discussions, we have curated a list of ideas in this document and we request you all to ideate and add to the list in the document. We will discuss and prioritize them together in the upcoming meeting.
